It focuses particularly on Kirby's visionary superhero and science fiction comics of the mid-1960s onward, while including examples from as early as the 1940s. This exhibition is the US's largest ever devoted to Kirby, and the first held at a university. Kirby's career spanned more than half a century, and included work in every popular genre and for almost every major comic book publisher.
